Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Brendon Hewitt started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brendon Hewitt in the 5th minute of play forced English Invaders FC's goalkeeper Archie Edwards to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grant Wardman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Archie Edwards having to interfere. Mitch Clayton hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in English Invaders FC's zone, Brendon Hewitt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Archie Edwards came out of the goal and Brendon Hewitt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice moves Grant Wardman could shoot a difficult shot in the 39th minute, which Archie Edwards however easily saved by the left post. English Invaders FC's Archie Edwards played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brendon Hewitt in the 40th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Brendon Hewitt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Archie Edwards was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 45th match minute, English Invaders FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mitch Clayton to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mark Nash to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grant Wardman in the 56th minute of play forced English Invaders FC's goalkeeper Archie Edwards to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the match, English Invaders FC's goal looked a bit too open when Brendon Hewitt came free, but Archie Edwards reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute Mark Nash shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnnie Gallacher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Archie Edwards showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brendon Hewitt, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Keanu Fry, 75 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Johnnie Gallacher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mark Nash in the 81st minute of the match. When Grant Wardman came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Liverpool fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Grant Wardman couldn't finish the play. Grant Wardman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Archie Edwards having to interfere. Simon Little charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Simon Little the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Marek Gillow had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Brendon Hewitt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Brendon Hewitt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Brendon Hewitt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. There was no doubt that Liverpool were the better team. Liverpool's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
