Liverpool's Johnnie Gallacher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaac Naylor in the 17th minute of play. Shane Stockdale shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Brendon Hewitt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brad Barrow having to interfere. Johnnie Gallacher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaac Naylor in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute of the match, Isaac Naylor tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Johnnie Gallacher saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 31st match minute, Liverpool was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jez Salmon to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Barrie Wardell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Liverpool's Keanu Fry tried to score from far away in the 40th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Martyn Kay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to EmiratesFC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Barrie Wardell hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Liverpool's zone, Martyn Kay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johnnie Gallacher came out of the goal and Martyn Kay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Brendon Hewitt made the kick off in the second half. Brad Barrow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brendon Hewitt in the 54th minute of play. In the 57thth minute of the game Brendon Hewitt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but EmiratesFC's Brad Barrow was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Johnnie Gallacher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Naylor, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Brad Barrow made an important save on a dangerous shot by Grant Wardman in the 67th minute. If Jez Salmon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 78 minutes, Grant Wardman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liverpool's supporters crossed their fingers, but Grant Wardman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 80th minute by Grant Wardman got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 84 minutes into the match, Brendon Hewitt dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Brad Barrow, 1-1. When Simon Little fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Liverpool's protests and gave Simon Little a yellow card for diving instead. After 94 played minutes EmiratesFC got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Legg. 101 minutes into the game, EmiratesFC's Martyn Kay nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Johnnie Gallacher made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. EmiratesFC had won after a very even match.
