Donald Davenport fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trevor Cummings having to interfere. Donald Davenport struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Trevor Cummings didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dover. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donald Davenport in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Trevor Cummings prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Antony Butterfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donald Davenport in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Trevor Cummings saved Wareham AFC from getting behind. Donald Davenport sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Dover's zone, Antony Butterfield stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chaz Dwyer came out of the goal and Antony Butterfield tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lance Almond could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Trevor Cummings made a huge save. When Jordan Cunningham fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wareham AFC's protests and gave Jordan Cunningham a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Jordan Cunningham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Huey Cryer's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Trevor Cummings on his right side and into the goal. 33 minutes into the game it was 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aaron Barton during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 36 played minutes Dover got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Barton. Lance Almond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trevor Cummings having to interfere. Dover's Donald Davenport got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Donald Davenport sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Donald Davenport to strike the kick off in the second half. Donald Davenport scored 2-0 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Trevor Cummings, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Lance Almond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dion Brewer in the 59th minute of play forced Wareham AFC's goalkeeper Trevor Cummings to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Wareham AFC booed when Dover was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simeon Buckle didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Barrie Larham sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Dover's Chaz Dwyer didn't even have to move. Donald Davenport recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Trevor Cummings showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donald Davenport in the 71st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Wareham AFC's Ronan Lawton got a free kick in the 79th minute. Stuart Croft got his second yellow card in the match during the 82nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Stuart Croft hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute of the match Huey Cryer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Trevor Cummings showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 84thth minute of the game Donald Davenport who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wareham AFC's Trevor Cummings was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Donald Davenport received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Trevor Cummings tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lance Almond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Garry Slabber charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Garry Slabber the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Trevor Cummings showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donald Davenport in the 95th minute of the match. Wareham AFC's Garry Slabber got his second yellow card of the match in the 96th minute. The referee ordered Garry Slabber off the ground. When the referee ended the match the Dover players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
