Neil Lomas might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daryl Crane. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Neil Lomas ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of ALBERT GATE COURT booed when Rawdon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Jenkins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pete MacDonald made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kevin Long in the 28th minute. If Tristram Letheren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Malcolm Allott blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daryl Crane having to make a save. In the 42ndth minute of the game Neil Lomas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rawdon FC's Daryl Crane was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 44th minute, ALBERT GATE COURT's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tristram Letheren fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Neil Lomas to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Malcolm Allott could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Daryl Crane however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neil Lomas in the 57th minute of play forced Rawdon FC's goalkeeper Daryl Crane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rawdon FC's Kevin Long got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rawdon FC's Daryl Crane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niall Garforth in the 62nd minute of play. Kevin Long recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute Kieran Devine suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 67 minutes into the game, Fitz Radcliffe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ALBERT GATE COURT's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rawdon FC the free kick. The supporters of Rawdon FC booed when ALBERT GATE COURT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fitz Radcliffe didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 69 played minutes, Rawdon FC's Jeffrey Coombe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pete MacDonald came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rawdon FC reached it. Neil Lomas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Neil Lomas managed to get in a good position for a shot. ALBERT GATE COURT's supporters rose to their feet, but Neil Lomas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daryl Crane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fitz Radcliffe kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Malcolm Allott got free with Daryl Crane in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Malcolm Allott's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daryl Crane read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Malcolm Allott got free with Daryl Crane in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daryl Crane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neil Lomas in the 85th minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Kevin Long got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Rawdon FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Tristram Letheren hit a great ball. Kyle Brazier took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Daryl Crane. Rawdon FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Neil Lomas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daryl Crane read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
