Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tristram Letheren took the kick off in the first half of the match. Antony Butterfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daryl Crane having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antony Butterfield got free with Daryl Crane in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Long in the 11th minute of play forced Wareham AFC's goalkeeper Trevor Cummings to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Garry Crowther fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rawdon FC's protests and gave Garry Crowther a yellow card for diving instead. Garry Crowther kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After having played for 16 minutes, Garry Slabber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wareham AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Garry Slabber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Jeffrey Coombe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rawdon FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeffrey Coombe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trevor Cummings breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Stefan Jenkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brad Maylett kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Antony Butterfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Garry Slabber managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wareham AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Garry Slabber was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daryl Crane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antony Butterfield's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daryl Crane read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Antony Butterfield could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Daryl Crane made a huge save. The supporters of Rawdon FC booed when Wareham AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Garry Slabber didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Kevin Long had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trevor Cummings made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tristram Letheren in the 44th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Garry Slabber stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Wareham AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stuart Croft to maneuver through the defense. 53 minutes into the game, Tristram Letheren recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Trevor Cummings. Tristram Letheren showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Daryl Crane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garry Slabber in the 66th minute of the match. Kevin Long recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th match minute, Wareham AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stuart Croft to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute, Jordan Cunningham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Kevin Long came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Rawdon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Long couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute, Wareham AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kevin Long fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a little luck, Wareham AFC's Trevor Cummings got control of the ball when Kevin Long tried to sneak it across the goal line. Antony Butterfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Garry Slabber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Daryl Crane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Antony Butterfield ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daryl Crane was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The Wareham AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Rawdon FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Rawdon FC.
