Lawrence Pearson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lewis Huckerby in the 13th minute of play. Iain Morgan kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Lawrence Pearson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lewis Huckerby showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. In the 30th minute of the match, Kirk Crouch got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lawrence Pearson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Plaza Mayor's Lawrence Pearson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lewis Huckerby in the 31st minute of play. The supporters of Plaza Mayor booed when Bethnal Green and Hackney City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zack Delaney didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aaron Norton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Lewis Huckerby made the kick off in the second half. Lawrence Pearson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kirk Crouch, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Lawrence Pearson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Cardwell in the 61st minute of play. Lawrence Pearson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kirk Crouch in the 62nd minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, Bethnal Green and Hackney City's Tony Cardwell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lawrence Pearson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 71 minutes into the match, Bethnal Green and Hackney City's goal looked a bit too open when Vern Nightingale came free, but Donny Bensley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 83 played minutes Bethnal Green and Hackney City got a freekick which was hit by Zack Delaney. 86 minutes into the game, Lewis Huckerby cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Lawrence Pearson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kirk Crouch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Lawrence Pearson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Kirk Crouch left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bethnal Green and Hackney City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. If Vern Nightingale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
