Reject United FC's Camron Billing quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alfred Cooke, made in the 3rd minute of the game. 6 minutes in the game Pedro Clark did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Iain Garner. Sean Kenna's late challenge caught a Plaza Mayor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sean Kenna helped the player get up and apologised. Sean Kenna kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Aaron Norton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Walter Bowen made a huge save. Aaron Norton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Clark made in the 22nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Iain Garner immediately put the ball in play. Vern Nightingale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Walter Bowen made a huge save. After 28 played minutes Reject United FC got a freekick which was hit by Sean Kenna. After having played for 32 minutes, Vern Nightingale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Plaza Mayor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vern Nightingale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Reject United FC's Garth Knightley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lawrence Pearson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Reject United FC's Walter Bowen got control of the ball when Aaron Norton tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aaron Norton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aaron Norton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute, Sean Kenna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Reject United FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Plaza Mayor's Lawrence Pearson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Plaza Mayor from getting a goal against them. Garth Knightley struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Lawrence Pearson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Reject United FC. A collision led to Plaza Mayor getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Aaron Norton hit a great ball. Lawrence Pearson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garry Malpeli in the 74th minute of play. Pedro Clark made in the 79th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Iain Garner immediately put the ball in play. Iain Garner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 95 played minutes Plaza Mayor got a freekick which was hit by Alfred Cooke.
