Derek Pilgrim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Walter Bowen having to make a save. If Sam Bagshaw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Lenny Shaw managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reject United FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lenny Shaw was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeff Rowell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Walter Bowen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Crooks in the 46th minute of play. Michael Crooks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Sean Kenna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chupayees City & Crantlee's Jeff Rowell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Reject United FC's Garth Knightley got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 61st minute, Garry Malpeli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Chupayees City & Crantlee's zone, Lenny Shaw stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeff Rowell came out of the goal and Lenny Shaw tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Garry Malpeli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Jeff Rowell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
