After a rather tough play, Bethnal Green and Hackney City's Camron Chandler got a free kick in the 5th minute. Sam Bagshaw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Reject United FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Sebastien Walls hit a great ball. Lenny Shaw hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kirk Crouch in the 21st minute of play forced Reject United FC's goalkeeper Walter Bowen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute Lewis Huckerby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walter Bowen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reject United FC's Walter Bowen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Cardwell in the 23rd minute of play. After 24 minutes of play, Bethnal Green and Hackney City's Kirk Crouch made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Walter Bowen was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Reject United FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Sean Kenna hit a great ball. Walter Bowen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kirk Crouch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iain Morgan struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Walter Bowen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bethnal Green and Hackney City. Walter Bowen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lewis Huckerby in the 44th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garry Malpeli in the 46th minute of play forced Bethnal Green and Hackney City's goalkeeper Donny Bensley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lewis Huckerby to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 70th minute of the match, Kirk Crouch got a very nice opportunity to score, but Walter Bowen was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Kirk Crouch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Bowen having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Kirk Crouch kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Walter Bowen. That made the score 0-2 in the 74 minute of play. In the 77th minute, Kirk Crouch left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bethnal Green and Hackney City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After some careless play in the Reject United FC defense, Kirk Crouch kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Walter Bowen. The Reject United FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Walter Bowen should have stopped the shot. Lenny Shaw was shown his second yellow card after 87 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Bethnal Green and Hackney City booed when Reject United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lenny Shaw didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kirk Crouch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Walter Bowen made a huge save. 95 minutes into the game, Tony Cardwell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bethnal Green and Hackney City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Reject United FC the free kick. The Reject United FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Bethnal Green and Hackney City's performance.
