After 7 played minutes Tractor got a freekick which was hit by Silvester Burkinshaw. After 11 minutes, Lennie Read mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tingley and the Tractor players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th minute, Lennie Read hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alastair Bodsworth's late challenge caught a Tractor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alastair Bodsworth helped the player get up and apologised. Ted Crocker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Crocker in the 18th minute of play forced Tingley's goalkeeper Matthew Davies to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Tingley's goalkeeper Matthew Davies had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Harvey Potter. If Ted Crocker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Matthew Davies made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Harvey Potter sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th match minute, Tingley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ash Bailey to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Ash Bailey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 34 minutes, Marcus Hunter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tingley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus Hunter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 36 minutes, Ted Crocker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When Harvey Potter came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Tractor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harvey Potter couldn't finish the play. Matthew Davies showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ted Crocker in the 44th minute of the match. Marcus Hunter struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Ollie Krief didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tingley. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcus Hunter to make the kick off. Matthew Davies showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ted Crocker, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Harvey Potter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Steve Morrell hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Harvey Potter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Davies having to interfere. If Harvey Potter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Tingley's Gez Dlyan got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 92nd minute Harvey Potter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthew Davies saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matthew Davies showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steve Morrell, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
