Spectators: 7384 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 10) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kyle Ackroyd kicked off to start the match. Vince Sercombe hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kyle Ackroyd in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gus Naylor saved Fc Bedford from getting behind. Zak Woodhouse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Dion Layfield tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Fc Bedford booed when Ickenham United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jude Thomson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gus Naylor made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Donny Pack sent off a good shot on target. 29 minutes into the match, Ickenham United's Kyle Ackroyd sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gus Naylor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kyle Ackroyd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ivor Darby stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Ickenham United's zone, Ivor Darby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dion Layfield came out of the goal and Ivor Darby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 56 minutes into the game, Ivor Darby recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dion Layfield. Ivor Darby showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. In the 75th match minute, Ickenham United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Haley to maneuver through the defense. When Richie Houghton came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Fc Bedford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richie Houghton couldn't finish the play. Peter Bowler struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Gus Naylor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ickenham United. Zak Woodhouse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Dion Layfield tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Curtis Birch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivor Darby might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dion Layfield. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivor Darby ran back to his position shaking his head. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Fc Bedford walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
