Ivor Darby started the match with the kick off. When Ivor Darby came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Fc Bedford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivor Darby couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zak Woodhouse got free with Johnathon Newbury in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Martin Swift hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Ivor Darby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fc Bedford's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivor Darby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnathon Newbury breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bells FC's Johnathon Newbury proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Bells FC from getting a goal against them. Vince Sercombe succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 26th playminute. Johnathon Newbury made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivor Darby in the 34th minute of play. Ross Deakin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zak Woodhouse struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Johnathon Newbury didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc Bedford. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ross Deakin to make the kick off. Phil Cheesman made in the 54th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Bells FC's Martin Swift. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Ivor Darby managed to get in a good position for a shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zak Woodhouse in the 62nd minute of play forced Bells FC's goalkeeper Johnathon Newbury to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ross Deakin hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Zak Woodhouse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivor Darby in the 70th minute of play forced Bells FC's goalkeeper Johnathon Newbury to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ivor Darby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, Aaron Barber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bells FC's Johnathon Newbury played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivor Darby in the 80th minute of play. Johnathon Newbury showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zak Woodhouse, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Zak Woodhouse recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aaron Barber hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The Fc Bedford players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
