When Lee Blackwater came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the CumDrops fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lee Blackwater couldn't finish the play. Joey Coogans short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Gus Naylor to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fc Bedford's Gus Naylor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Fc Bedford from getting a goal against them. Gus Naylor made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Lee Blackwater sent off a good shot on target. It was Gaz Hargrave who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Gaz Hargrave got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gus Naylor quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Lee Blackwater could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Gus Naylor made a huge save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After some careless play in the Fc Bedford defense, Lee Blackwater kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gus Naylor. The Fc Bedford fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gus Naylor should have stopped the shot.
