With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dion Layfield prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 8 minutes into the match, Tractor's Steve Morrell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dion Layfield narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 9thth minute of the game Ted Crocker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ickenham United's Dion Layfield was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 12th minute, John Haley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Tractor's Jamie Whieldon tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute, one of Tractor:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tractor. A collision led to Tractor getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Steve Morrell hit a great ball. Ron Holdsworth's shot from long distance in the 17th minute was not bad at all, but Tractor's Ollie Krief knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Jamie Whieldon kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Ickenham United's attack was well implemented in the 22nd minute, but when Kyle Ackroyd was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. In the 27thth minute of the game Ted Crocker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ickenham United's Dion Layfield was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ickenham United's Kyle Ackroyd got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Silvester Burkinshaw hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Silvester Burkinshaw hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute, Ron Holdsworth sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tractor's Ollie Krief didn't even have to move. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Harvey Potter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tractor's supporters rose to their feet, but Harvey Potter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dion Layfield breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Harvey Potter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dion Layfield having to interfere. When Peter Bowler fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ickenham United's protests and gave Peter Bowler a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ickenham United's Peter Bowler got a free kick in the 38th minute. Dion Layfield took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harvey Potter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ted Crocker sped through Ickenham United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dion Layfield. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Kyle Ackroyd made the kick off in the second half. Harvey Potter in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dion Layfield, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Steve Morrell kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Ickenham United were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after Tractor's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ron Holdsworth took the corner. The corner ended in Ron Holdsworth almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Tractor's Ollie Krief did a great save. Ickenham United's Dion Layfield proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Ickenham United from getting a goal against them. Ted Crocker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the match, Harvey Potter had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dion Layfield. Ickenham United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Harvey Potter was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Ollie Krief showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donny Pack, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Ted Crocker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Crocker in the 85th minute of play forced Ickenham United's goalkeeper Dion Layfield to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tractor's Ollie Krief played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Ackroyd in the 95th minute of play. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ickenham United's goalkeeper Dion Layfield, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
