After 36 minutes, Jeffrey Lowndes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kick ass United and the Denton United FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Kick ass United's Jeffrey Lowndes got a free kick in the 36th minute. If Sonny Hughes-Guy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jude Whitworth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ashley Robinson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kick ass United! Dane Teague shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Keiran Reeve made the kick off in the second half. Alec Morris's late challenge caught a Denton United FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alec Morris helped the player get up and apologised. In the 59th match minute, Kick ass United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alec Morris to maneuver through the defense. Rex Tonkin hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match.
