After a rather tough play, Harold Hsdf's Tommy Burkinshaw got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 5th minute Darryl Fisher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julian Currie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Romford booed when Harold Hsdf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommy Burkinshaw didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Romford's Sean Dryden nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julian Currie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Harold Hsdf's Tommy Burkinshaw got a free kick in the 11th minute. Julian Currie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darryl Fisher in the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Franz Gulliver ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paddy Doughty was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Tommy Burkinshaw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 21 played minutes Harold Hsdf got a freekick which was hit by Camron Fitzsymon. Harold Hsdf's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Darryl Fisher scored to the left of an out of position Julian Currie, making the score, 2-1. Brad Hibbert scored 3-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julian Currie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Romford booed when Harold Hsdf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sid Walsh didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The wind increased when Darryl Fisher made the kick off in the second half. Camron Fitzsymon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 53 minutes, Tommy Burkinshaw managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Harold Hsdf's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tommy Burkinshaw was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Franz Gulliver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paddy Doughty having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Harold Hsdf's goal looked a bit too open when Darryl Fisher came free, but Julian Currie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julian Currie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sean Dryden in the 64th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, Darryl Fisher cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Julian Currie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julian Currie came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Romford's Darryl Fisher. But to his dismay, Darryl Fisher quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. After 72 played minutes Harold Hsdf got a freekick which was hit by Tommy Burkinshaw. Todd Holden took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julian Currie. Harold Hsdf's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Julian Currie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brad Hibbert in the 77th minute of the match. Franz Gulliver could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Paddy Doughty made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Simon Fitter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Harold Hsdf's supporters rose to their feet, but Simon Fitter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paddy Doughty breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Camron Fitzsymon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dale Leather took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paddy Doughty. Romford's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Simon Fitter came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Harold Hsdf fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Fitter couldn't finish the play. Romford were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Harold Hsdf for a fine match.
