Spectators: 6695 (Terracing: 5695, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Darryl Fisher made the kick off which started today's match. Vince Fuller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darryl Fisher in the 5th minute of play. Brad Hibbert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vince Fuller having to make a save. After 9 played minutes Glossop City got a freekick which was hit by Luke Maxwell. 12 minutes into the game, Sean Dryden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Romford's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Glossop City the free kick. A collision led to Romford getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Sean Dryden hit a great ball. In the 13th match minute, Glossop City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon McGrath to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Darryl Fisher in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vince Fuller prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 16 minutes into the match, Brad Hibbert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vince Fuller. Glossop City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brad Hibbert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Darryl Fisher might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vince Fuller. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Darryl Fisher ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Glossop City's goalkeeper Vince Fuller, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 28 minutes of play, Romford's Darryl Fisher made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vince Fuller was left in no man's land by his defense there! Darryl Fisher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Vince Fuller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute Brad Hibbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vince Fuller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Glossop City defense, Darryl Fisher kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vince Fuller. The Glossop City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vince Fuller should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

52 minutes into the match, Glossop City's goal looked a bit too open when Darryl Fisher came free, but Vince Fuller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Darryl Fisher got free with Vince Fuller in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Sean Dryden was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 59 minutes had been played. A collision led to Romford getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Sean Dryden hit a great ball. Glossop City's Vince Fuller proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Glossop City from getting a goal against them. When the match had been going on for 77 minutes, Romford's Todd Holden got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Vince Fuller. Brad Hibbert might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vince Fuller. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brad Hibbert ran back to his position shaking his head. If Oscar Grainger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Glossop City fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Romford were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
