Wayne Hanley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camron Fitzsymon in the 9th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Harold Hsdf's goalkeeper Julian Currie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Noel Wallbank. Simon Cooke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Julian Currie made a huge save. In the 25th minute Ricky Sparkes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julian Currie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harold Hsdf's Julian Currie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Harold Hsdf from getting a goal against them. After recieving a nice pass, Harold Hsdf's Tommy Burkinshaw tried to score from far away in the 30th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Phillip Waite came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Hadleigh FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Phillip Waite couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Phillip Waite during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Phillip Waite kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Simon Cooke got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-1 in the right cross in the 42nd match minute before Julian Currie had time to react. 46 minutes into the game, Phillip Waite recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julian Currie. Phillip Waite showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Ricky Sparkes made the kick off in the second half. Julian Currie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricky Sparkes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Cooke in the 56th minute of play forced Harold Hsdf's goalkeeper Julian Currie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 80 minutes, Simon Fitter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Harold Hsdf's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simon Fitter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Camron Fitzsymon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Wayne Hanley made a huge save. Julian Currie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Cooke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
