Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 7 minutes into the match, Marden FC's goal looked a bit too open when John Paul Porter came free, but Romeo Fowler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diss AFC's Dean Speight proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Diss AFC from getting a goal against them. Carl Harrison hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Leo Leighton came free with the goalkeeper in the 12th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dean Speight could save by the left post. Loyd Moxon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romeo Fowler having to make a save. Loyd Moxon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Fowler having to interfere. Leo Leighton struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Dean Speight didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marden FC. Damian Acton's late challenge caught a Marden FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damian Acton helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Diss AFC's Damian Acton got a free kick in the 25th minute. Marden FC's Lawrence Moyse got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Lawrence Moyse came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Marden FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lawrence Moyse couldn't finish the play. Al Bright hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lawrence Moyse in the 33rd minute of play forced Diss AFC's goalkeeper Dean Speight to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th match minute, Marden FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jude Chamberlain to maneuver through the defense. After 41 played minutes Lawrence Moyse rounded Diss AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vince Beecham during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Diss AFC booed when Marden FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vince Beecham didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Shane Duffy during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Diss AFC's Shane Duffy got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 55th minute Marden FC were awarded a corner. Victor Norton went to the cornerflag to take it. Marden FC's Victor Norton was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dean Speight in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Loyd Moxon's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Romeo Fowler skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Diss AFC's Loyd Moxon got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Romeo Fowler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danny Howden in the 63rd minute of play. Loyd Moxon in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Romeo Fowler, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Loyd Moxon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Diss AFC booed when Marden FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vince Beecham didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 74 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Marden FC! When the match had been going on for 75 minutes, Diss AFC's Drew Warner got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Romeo Fowler. In the 80th minute, Loyd Moxon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Marden FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Victor Norton hit a great ball. When Leo Leighton came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Marden FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leo Leighton couldn't finish the play. Leo Leighton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dean Speight read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Carl Harrison struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Romeo Fowler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Diss AFC. After some careless play in the Diss AFC defense, Leo Leighton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dean Speight. The Diss AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dean Speight should have stopped the shot. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
