The referee ignored LC Exiles's protests and gave Shane Weir a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Red Star Albion FC booed when LC Exiles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shane Weir didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ben Charie acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 31st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Paddy Mann. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Spike Kellaway during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The LC Exiles fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ben Charie should have stopped the shot. Miles Meechan hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Syd Love fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben Charie having to interfere. Jeremy Barber hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After having played for 73 minutes, Tod Rawlings managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Star Albion FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tod Rawlings was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Denis Lonsdale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Red Star Albion FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
