William Mallon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 6 minutes, Miles Meechan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LC Exiles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miles Meechan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacob Mallon in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ben Charie saved LC Exiles from getting behind. Elland Road Faithful's Jacob Mallon got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in LC Exiles's zone, Jacob Mallon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ben Charie came out of the goal and Jacob Mallon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th minute Miles Meechan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Mallon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, LC Exiles's goal looked a bit too open when Jacob Mallon came free, but Ben Charie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to LC Exiles getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Shane Weir hit a great ball. After having played for 37 minutes, Miles Meechan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LC Exiles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miles Meechan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ben Charie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacob Mallon, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Miles Meechan to strike the kick off in the second half. Anthony Basham struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Ben Charie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Elland Road Faithful. After having played for 55 minutes, Jacob Mallon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ben Charie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anthony Basham in the 58th minute of the match. Anthony Basham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ben Charie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthony Basham in the 91st minute of play. Jacob Mallon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 93 played minutes LC Exiles got a freekick which was hit by Shane Weir.
