Marty Lemerond's late challenge caught a Arsenal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marty Lemerond helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th minute, Marty Lemerond hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th minute, Will Wardill sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Bedlington's Leroy Seagrave didn't even have to move. Marty Lemerond was shown his second yellow card after 12 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Ollie Smikle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Austin Toovey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stevie Soussan in the 21st minute of the match. Trev Buckler kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Ollie Smikle reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leroy Seagrave. The goal made the score 1-1. The referee ignored Bedlington's protests and gave Chip Warner a yellow card for diving instead. Chip Warner kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Arsenal's zone, Stevie Soussan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Austin Toovey came out of the goal and Stevie Soussan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kirk Jowsey made a kick off. Curtis Meade charged in rather forcefully in the 50th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Curtis Meade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 50th minute, Curtis Meade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ollie Smikle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leroy Seagrave having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Stevie Soussan fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Austin Toovey, passed just outside the right post. With a little luck, Arsenal's Austin Toovey got control of the ball when Stevie Soussan tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Stevie Soussan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bedlington's Leroy Seagrave played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kirk Jowsey in the 71st minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Arsenal's goalkeeper Austin Toovey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stevie Soussan. Kirk Jowsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Leroy Seagrave tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kirk Jowsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 85 minutes, Stevie Soussan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bedlington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stevie Soussan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86th match minute, Arsenal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Will Wardill to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 91 minutes, Den Bishop managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bedlington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Den Bishop was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Stevie Soussan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Bedlington players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Arsenal from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
