Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Johnathan Appleton got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute Johnathan Appleton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leroy Seagrave saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, Isaac McDonald hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 11 minutes, Chip Warner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bedlington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chip Warner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Chip Warner sped through Hurst Green's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Neil Fish. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Stevie Soussan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bedlington's supporters rose to their feet, but Stevie Soussan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Neil Fish breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bedlington's Chip Warner got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 24 played minutes Hurst Green got a freekick which was hit by Barry Ellison. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Chip Warner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bedlington's supporters rose to their feet, but Chip Warner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Neil Fish breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 26 minutes into the game, Barry Ellison was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hurst Green's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bedlington the free kick. Barry Ellison kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Neil Fish showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chip Warner, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Johnathan Appleton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neil Fish showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stevie Soussan in the 38th minute of the match. After 42 minutes of play, Bedlington's Stevie Soussan made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Neil Fish was left in no man's land by his defense there! Chip Warner struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Neil Fish didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bedlington. If Chip Warner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chip Warner made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Bedlington got a freekick which was hit by Den Bishop. In the 56th minute, Stevie Soussan made a precise shot to the right of Neil Fish. Hurst Green's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in Bedlington's zone, Lloyd Sutcliffe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leroy Seagrave came out of the goal and Lloyd Sutcliffe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 62 minutes into the match, Bedlington's goal looked a bit too open when Johnathan Appleton came free, but Leroy Seagrave reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Bedlington's Stevie Soussan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Neil Fish narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Hurst Green's zone, Chip Warner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Neil Fish came out of the goal and Chip Warner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stevie Soussan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Neil Fish made a huge save. If Chip Warner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute Johnathan Appleton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leroy Seagrave saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stevie Soussan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Neil Fish having to make a save. 89 minutes into the match, Hurst Green's goal looked a bit too open when Marty Lemerond came free, but Neil Fish reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neil Fish was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Chip Warner showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 91 minute of play. Chip Warner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neil Fish having to interfere. Sol Nottingham kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Neil Fish made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Stevie Soussan sent off a good shot on target. Bedlington's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
