Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Chip Warner started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. A collision led to Studley getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Les Rushforth hit a great ball. Chip Warner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 7 minutes into the match, Bedlington's goal looked a bit too open when Laurence Buchanan came free, but Leroy Seagrave reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Studley's Craig Horsell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chip Warner in the 11th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Rio Best ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leroy Seagrave was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 25th minute, Conal Bannister hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stevie Soussan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Craig Horsell when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 32 minutes into the match, Bedlington's goal looked a bit too open when Laurence Buchanan came free, but Leroy Seagrave reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leroy Seagrave showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rio Best, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 39th minute of the match, Stevie Soussan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Craig Horsell was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Studley's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Chip Warner 41 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. If Stevie Soussan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rio Best to strike the kick off in the second half. Stevie Soussan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Craig Horsell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Laurence Buchanan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Studley fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Craig Horsell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stevie Soussan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 59 played minutes Studley got a freekick which was hit by Neil Best. After 63 played minutes Rio Best rounded Bedlington's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-3.
