In the 10th match minute, MK Dans was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Bensley to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Penge's Roger Evans tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Conal Edwards showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harvey Barker, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Danny Thurman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lawrence Culverhouse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, MK Dans's Danny Thurman threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lawrence Culverhouse, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lawrence Culverhouse to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Charles Steadman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Penge's goalkeeper Danny Thurman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, Penge's goal looked a bit too open when Zaq Biernat came free, but Danny Thurman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute of the match Ivan Downton sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Danny Thurman skillfully saved the ball. When Zaq Biernat came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the MK Dans fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zaq Biernat couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the MK Dans players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
