The supporters of MK Dans booed when cavefc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alec Barrow didn't get a good kick on the ball. With 7 minutes on the clock, Tyler Southgate commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in MK Dans fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 7th minute. Penalty! The referee gave cavefc a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nigel Dothery, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of MK Dans's Conal Edwards. 0-1. Zaq Biernat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dale Dearden having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Travis Prutton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Conal Edwards was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. If Robin Way had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robin Way might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Conal Edwards. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robin Way ran back to his position shaking his head. Robin Way sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Travis Prutton in the 35th minute of play forced MK Dans's goalkeeper Conal Edwards to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albert Deacon during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, MK Dans's Albert Deacon got a free kick in the 37th minute. Robin Way recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Brett Skipton fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MK Dans's protests and gave Brett Skipton a yellow card for diving instead. Brett Skipton kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After having played for 43 minutes, Zaq Biernat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MK Dans's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zaq Biernat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robin Way sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Zaq Biernat managed to get in a good position for a shot. MK Dans's supporters rose to their feet, but Zaq Biernat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dale Dearden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zaq Biernat was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to cavefc getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Cody Cartwright hit a great ball. Dale Dearden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaq Biernat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When MK Dans's Zaq Biernat in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye cavefc's goalie prevented a goal. 65 minutes into the match, Zaq Biernat had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dale Dearden. cavefc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zaq Biernat was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Zaq Biernat struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Dale Dearden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MK Dans. If Robin Way had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 75 played minutes MK Dans got a freekick which was hit by Stewart Burton. In the 79th minute, Albert Deacon had to leave the field with a concussion. When Allan Seagrave fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored cavefc's protests and gave Allan Seagrave a yellow card for diving instead. After 79 played minutes cavefc got a freekick which was hit by Allan Seagrave. Brett Skipton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dale Dearden having to interfere. Travis Prutton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in MK Dans's zone, Robin Way stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conal Edwards came out of the goal and Robin Way tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Travis Prutton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
