The supporters of The Batsteroos booed when cavefc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nigel Dothery didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Travis Prutton came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the cavefc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Travis Prutton couldn't finish the play. Robin Young's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Dale Dearden skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jay Bramhall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Seagrave in the 41st minute of play. The supporters of cavefc booed when The Batsteroos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Gerrard didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute Travis Prutton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jay Bramhall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dale Billington scored 0-2 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jay Bramhall, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Travis Prutton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Jay Bramhall made a huge save. Travis Prutton came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jay Bramhall could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, The Batsteroos's Ivan Gilchrist got a free kick in the 57th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as cavefc's Robin Way slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jay Bramhall. That made the score 0-3 after 60 minutes of play. In the 63rd minute Robin Way shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jay Bramhall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johnny Eldridge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robin Way in the 68th managed to get into a good position. The Batsteroos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robin Young was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 79 minutes into the match, cavefc's goal looked a bit too open when Robin Young came free, but Dale Dearden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Robin Young got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 88th play minutes Robin Young shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Dale Dearden and just under the crossbar into goal. The audience was convinced that Robin Young's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dale Dearden was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Jay Bramhall made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dale Billington in the 92nd minute.
