Spectators: 7511 (Terracing: 5634, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) 5 minutes into the game, Tyler Crittenden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC REAL DR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Helsby the free kick. A collision led to FC REAL DR getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Tyler Crittenden hit a great ball. In the 6th minute, Alfred Banks fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sly Fox, passed just outside the right post. After some careless play in the Helsby defense, Barney McKeown kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sacha Dlyan. The Helsby fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sacha Dlyan should have stopped the shot. Gary Dry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Barney McKeown fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sacha Dlyan having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Sly Crtichell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute, Mark Revell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barney McKeown sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sacha Dlyan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gary Dry's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. The supporters of Helsby booed when FC REAL DR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tyler Crittenden didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the match, FC REAL DR's goal looked a bit too open when Sly Dixon came free, but Sly Fox reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gary Dry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sacha Dlyan having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Sly Dixon got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Sacha Dlyan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gary Dry in the 43rd minute of the match. After the first half FC REAL DR were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gary Dry stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Helsby's Sacha Dlyan got control of the ball when Gary Dry tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gary Dry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Sacha Dlyan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th match minute, Helsby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Will Chiverton to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Helsby's zone, Scott Patten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sacha Dlyan came out of the goal and Scott Patten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 62 minutes into the match, Helsby's goalkeeper Sacha Dlyan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gary Dry. 65 minutes in the game, Gary Dry dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Sly Dixon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Sly Fox tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th match minute, FC REAL DR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barney McKeown to maneuver through the defense. Gary Dry kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. FC REAL DR's Sly Fox played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Banks in the 78th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Helsby's zone, Lance Bower stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sacha Dlyan came out of the goal and Lance Bower tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC REAL DR's Sly Fox played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Banks in the 87th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Helsby's Sly Dixon got a free kick in the 88th minute. Sly Dixon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfred Banks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sly Fox having to interfere. Alfred Banks's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sly Fox read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Sly Crtichell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The FC REAL DR supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC REAL DR would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
