Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Niall Hutchins made the kick off which started today's match. In the 2nd minute of the game, Lewis Sunderland landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 2 minutes, Dom Crooks mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Squirtle Squad and the Calverley players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Jonathan Shaw managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calverley's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathan Shaw was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fred Bamford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 27 minutes into the match, Calverley's goal looked a bit too open when Dom Crooks came free, but Junior Baldwin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niall Hutchins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Junior Baldwin having to interfere. Junior Baldwin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Upson in the 32nd minute of the match. Junior Baldwin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niall Hutchins in the 36th minute of play. In the 39th minute Niall Hutchins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Junior Baldwin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robert Upson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Junior Baldwin having to interfere. Fred Bamford made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonathan Shaw in the 45th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kris Nelthorpe was the one to do the kick off. If Buster Woodford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 57 minutes, Robert Upson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Squirtle Squad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Upson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Junior Baldwin made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Robert Upson sent off a good shot on target. Robert Upson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Junior Baldwin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niall Hutchins in the 67th minute of play. Robert Upson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Junior Baldwin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Junior Baldwin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Niall Hutchins's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute, Dom Crooks had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Jonathan Shaw's late challenge caught a Squirtle Squad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Shaw helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Squirtle Squad booed when Calverley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Shaw didn't get a good kick on the ball. Junior Baldwin made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Robert Upson sent off a good shot on target. Jonathan Shaw hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Calverley's Junior Baldwin got control of the ball when Robert Upson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Robert Upson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Niall Hutchins came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Squirtle Squad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niall Hutchins couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd match minute, Calverley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kris Nelthorpe to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the match, Calverley's goalkeeper Junior Baldwin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robert Upson. When Kris Nelthorpe came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Calverley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kris Nelthorpe couldn't finish the play. 91 minutes into the match, Calverley's Kris Nelthorpe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fred Bamford narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Johnnie Matthews fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Bamford having to interfere.
