Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alec Halloran started the match with the kick off. Darren Salt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alec Halloran in the 6th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Alex Brookman made a precise shot to the right of Richard Rathmell. Wanborough's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Darren Salt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jo Rice, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 16 minutes into the match, F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex's goal looked a bit too open when Alec Halloran came free, but Darren Salt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Richard Rathmell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rick Cooper in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Wanborough's goal looked a bit too open when Marty Gates came free, but Richard Rathmell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex's goalkeeper Darren Salt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Larry Gamble. After a rather tough play, F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex's Tod Bensley got a free kick in the 24th minute. Darren Salt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Heslop in the 26th minute of play. Alex Brookman took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Richard Rathmell. Richard Rathmell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 33 minutes into the game, F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex's Rick Cooper nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Richard Rathmell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alec Halloran in the 38th minute of play forced F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex's goalkeeper Darren Salt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex's Darren Salt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex from getting a goal against them. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rick Cooper made a kick off. Richard Rathmell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rick Cooper, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Alec Halloran took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Darren Salt. Darren Salt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 62 minutes into the game, Eric Heslop cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Darren Salt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 65 minutes into the match, Larry Gamble had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Darren Salt. F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Larry Gamble was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. If Marty Gates had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Duncan Goldthorpe hit a great ball. Darren Salt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jo Rice in the 75th minute of play. Rick Cooper received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Richard Rathmell came out and tried to block the shot, but Rick Cooper slotted it home off the left post making it 3-4 in the 76th minute. Jonathon Apsden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Richard Rathmell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Marty Gates had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91 played minutes Wanborough got a freekick which was hit by Wally Stonehouse. 93 minutes into the match, Alec Halloran had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Darren Salt. F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alec Halloran was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-5. The F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
