Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Mick Wilkes made the kick off which started today's match. If Mick Wilkes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Jeff Dunne could shoot a difficult shot in the 10th minute, which Sonny Strong however easily saved by the left post. Jeff Dunne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Strong having to interfere. Mick Wilkes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Denis Yorke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rex Reynolds, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rex Reynolds in the 27th minute of play forced AFC Sesku's goalkeeper Denis Yorke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AFC Sesku's Mick Wilkes got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rupert Johnstone in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sonny Strong saved Pibes FC from getting behind. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Pibes FC's goalkeeper Sonny Strong, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jeff Dunne's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Sonny Strong skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 45 played minutes Pibes FC got a freekick which was hit by Peter King. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Jeff Dunne managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC Sesku's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeff Dunne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sonny Strong breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Rex Reynolds made the kick off in the second half. When Mick Wilkes came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the AFC Sesku fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mick Wilkes couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Pibes FC's zone, Mick Wilkes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sonny Strong came out of the goal and Mick Wilkes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 69 played minutes Pibes FC got a freekick which was hit by Peter King. After 70 played minutes, AFC Sesku's Quentin Rundell shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sonny Strong came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AFC Sesku reached it. Mick Wilkes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the game, AFC Sesku's Mick Wilkes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sonny Strong made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 84 minutes of play, Pibes FC's Jim Gilchrist made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Denis Yorke was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Jeff Dunne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeff Dunne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. AFC Sesku's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
