In the 16th minute Jo Rice shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jack Nethercot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Warminster AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alec Halloran came free, but Jack Nethercot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christopher Rayner to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Wanborough got a freekick which was hit by Albert Mead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Des Hutchinson in the 58th minute of play forced Wanborough's goalkeeper Richard Rathmell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Kris Drake hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Alec Halloran kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jack Nethercot. That made the score 0-2 in the 64 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alec Halloran in the 68th minute of play forced Warminster AFC's goalkeeper Jack Nethercot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute of the match Ashley Dodd sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Richard Rathmell skillfully saved the ball. Jack Nethercot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jo Rice in the 71st minute. Jack Nethercot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Heslop, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Warminster AFC's Jack Nethercot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Warminster AFC from getting a goal against them. Jo Rice fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jack Nethercot having to interfere.
