The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes, Chaz Sparkes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Walford AFC and the Porthcurno City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Chaz Sparkes hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Freddy Boyes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kenny Cousens went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Freddy Boyes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calum Bolton in the 19th minute of play. Jim Askew was a little too slow when Glenn Hotte got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 1-1. Glenn Hotte kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Freddy Boyes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calum Bolton in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute of the match Walford AFC got a corner. Porthcurno City's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sebastian Newbury ran over to the corner to take the kick. Walford AFC's Sebastian Newbury was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Freddy Boyes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 30th minute, Jay Slator hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glenn Hotte in the 32nd minute of play forced Walford AFC's goalkeeper Jim Askew to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Porthcurno City's Freddy Boyes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calum Bolton in the 34th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Kenny Cousens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Walford AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kenny Cousens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freddy Boyes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Glenn Hotte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Jim Askew tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Porthcurno City fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 42nd minute. Penalty! Jim Askew made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Laurence Buchanan sent off a good shot on target. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Glenn Hotte was the one to do the kick off. Freddy Boyes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Porthcurno City's Ty Devaney got a free kick in the 91st minute. Jacob Easton's late challenge caught a Porthcurno City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacob Easton helped the player get up and apologised. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Walford AFC! The referee gave Porthcurno City a penalty, 95 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Paddy Heywood, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Walford AFC's Jim Askew. 3-3. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
