Darren Salt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Blair Gill showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex's Rick Cooper sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Denis Yorke narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Darren Salt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rupert Johnstone in the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marty Gates in the 22nd minute of play forced AFC Sesku's goalkeeper Denis Yorke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tod Bensley kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeff Dunne got free with Darren Salt in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 31 minutes into the match, F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex's goal looked a bit too open when Mick Wilkes came free, but Darren Salt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Mick Wilkes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darren Salt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rupert Johnstone during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, AFC Sesku's Rupert Johnstone got a free kick in the 35th minute. 36 minutes into the match, F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex's Jonathon Apsden broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 38th minute of the match, Rupert Johnstone tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Darren Salt saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 39th play minutes Rick Cooper shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Denis Yorke and just under the crossbar into goal. Denis Yorke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Brookman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Rick Cooper left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mick Wilkes to make the kick off. After 51 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for AFC Sesku! When the match had been going on for 53 minutes, F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex's Jonathon Apsden got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Denis Yorke. In the 56th minute, Jeff Dunne ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Darren Salt was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. 60 minutes into the match, AFC Sesku's goal looked a bit too open when Marty Gates came free, but Denis Yorke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rick Cooper got free with Denis Yorke in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Blair Gill hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Denis Yorke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marty Gates in the 69th minute of the match. F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC Sesku the free kick. In the 73rd minute, Tod Bensley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the match, Alex Brookman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Denis Yorke. AFC Sesku's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alex Brookman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Mick Wilkes took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Darren Salt. Darren Salt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. In the 84th minute, Jeff Dunne got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 85th minute Mick Wilkes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darren Salt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 90 minutes of play AFC Sesku's Rupert Johnstone was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to AFC Sesku getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Rupert Johnstone hit a great ball. Quentin Rundell kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. If Rick Cooper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Tod Bensley hit a great ball. Blair Gill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darren Salt having to interfere. The AFC Sesku supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex's performance. The match ended with a win for F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex.
