Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alec Halloran kicked off to start the match. In the 4th match minute, Wanborough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Heslop to maneuver through the defense. In the 5th minute, Cléberson Mendonça left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AC Milan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Richard Rathmell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléberson Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodney Watkinson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Rathmell having to interfere. Richard Rathmell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodney Watkinson's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Cléberson Mendonça charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cléberson Mendonça the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 15 played minutes AC Milan got a freekick which was hit by Cléberson Mendonça. Nilmar Brasil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Heslop, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damien Quinn charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damien Quinn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th minute, Damien Quinn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute, Rodney Watkinson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richard Rathmell was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 32ndth minute of the game Alec Halloran who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AC Milan's Nilmar Brasil was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wanborough's Richard Rathmell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodney Watkinson in the 34th minute of play. After 36 played minutes AC Milan got a freekick which was hit by Wayne Longden. 44 minutes into the match, Wanborough's Alec Halloran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nilmar Brasil narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodney Watkinson to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Richard Thompson during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Wanborough booed when AC Milan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Thompson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nilmar Brasil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alec Halloran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Wanborough's goalkeeper Richard Rathmell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. AC Milan's Nilmar Brasil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jo Rice in the 89th minute of play. Cléberson Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Richard Rathmell made a huge save. AC Milan played a much better game than Wanborough and deserved their victory. The Wanborough players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
