An unexpectedly hard shot by Alec Halloran in the 21st minute of play forced Shaftesbury FC's goalkeeper Gareth Izzard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shaftesbury FC's Shawn Lane got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gareth Izzard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alec Halloran in the 25th minute of play. If Bradley Harkness had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wanborough's Richard Rathmell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Wanborough from getting a goal against them. Shawn Lane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Rathmell having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradley Harkness in the 43rd minute of play forced Wanborough's goalkeeper Richard Rathmell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gareth Izzard came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Wanborough's Alec Halloran. But to his dismay, Alec Halloran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bradley Harkness to strike the kick off in the second half. Jo Rice in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gareth Izzard, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Alec Halloran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gareth Izzard having to interfere. After 56 played minutes Shaftesbury FC got a freekick which was hit by Shane Childs. Jo Rice's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gareth Izzard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. In the 61stth minute of the game Bradley Harkness who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wanborough's Richard Rathmell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eric Heslop kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Bradley Harkness fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Rathmell having to interfere. Edward Beevers kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Wanborough's Richard Rathmell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradley Harkness in the 83rd minute of play. Alec Halloran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A nice corner shot did that Dale Deveraux got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gareth Izzard quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 88th match minute, Shaftesbury FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blair Kitching to maneuver through the defense. Shaftesbury FC's Gareth Izzard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alec Halloran in the 93rd minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Wanborough walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
