Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Crispin Gilchrist got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute, Rex Reynolds got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jim Gilchrist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent Straker having to interfere. In the 7th match minute, Pibes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paddy Adamson to maneuver through the defense. Lance Skipton hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Bruce Newby missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 12 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Sonny Strong right hand side. In the 14thth minute of the game Crispin Gilchrist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pibes FC's Sonny Strong was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Pibes FC's Reggie Huxtable got a free kick in the 17th minute. The audience was convinced that Fraser Gerrard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sonny Strong was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Rex Reynolds received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Vincent Straker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Pibes FC's Rex Reynolds in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye East Grinstead's goalie prevented a goal. Greg Nightingale charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Greg Nightingale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes East Grinstead got a freekick which was hit by Greg Nightingale. Crispin Gilchrist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sonny Strong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Crispin Gilchrist in the 29th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Crispin Gilchrist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Rex Reynolds dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vincent Straker, 1-0. Reggie Huxtable's late challenge caught a East Grinstead's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reggie Huxtable helped the player get up and apologised. Reggie Huxtable kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Pibes FC's Peter King got a free kick in the 37th minute. After 38 played minutes, East Grinstead's Bruce Newby shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sonny Strong came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in East Grinstead reached it. Louis York took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sonny Strong. Pibes FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pibes FC's goalkeeper Sonny Strong, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

52 minutes into the match, East Grinstead's goal looked a bit too open when Jim Gilchrist came free, but Vincent Straker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Crispin Gilchrist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Pibes FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Peter King hit a great ball. Fraser Gerrard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Pibes FC booed when East Grinstead was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joshua Strongman didn't get a good kick on the ball. East Grinstead's Vincent Straker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rex Reynolds in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pibes FC's goalkeeper Sonny Strong, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rex Reynolds sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jim Gilchrist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of East Grinstead booed when Pibes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reggie Huxtable didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sonny Strong was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Bruce Newby. After 77 minutes of play, East Grinstead's Fraser Gerrard made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sonny Strong was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bruce Newby's late challenge caught a Pibes FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruce Newby helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, East Grinstead's Bruce Newby got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 92nd minute, Fraser Gerrard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sonny Strong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Crispin Gilchrist in the 96th minute of the match. The Pibes FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching East Grinstead's performance. The match ended with a win for East Grinstead.
