Slav Dagome Iudex:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Darren Salt had in the 11thth minute some difficulties stopping Blair Kitching's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Rick Cooper notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Shaftesbury FC's Gareth Izzard. Gareth Izzard was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 19th minute Marty Gates shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gareth Izzard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Andy Dryden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darren Salt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ryan Frost in the 28th minute. 30 minutes into the match, F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex's goalkeeper Darren Salt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shawn Lane. Marty Gates received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Gareth Izzard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex's Darren Salt got control of the ball when Ryan Frost tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bradley Harkness struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Darren Salt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shaftesbury FC. After 37 minutes, Shawn Lane made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex's Darren Salt tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Darren Salt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bradley Harkness in the 40th minute. Rick Cooper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rick Cooper made a kick off. After some careless play in the F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex defense, Ryan Frost kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Darren Salt. The F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Darren Salt should have stopped the shot. Darren Salt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bradley Harkness, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex's Darren Salt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shane Childs in the 58th minute of play. Darren Salt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shawn Lane in the 59th minute of the match. Darren Salt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradley Harkness in the 61st minute of play. Shane Childs hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex's Darren Salt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shawn Lane in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryan Frost in the 65th minute of play forced F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex's goalkeeper Darren Salt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex's Marty Gates dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-3. A collision led to F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Dean Jones hit a great ball. After 71 played minutes, Shaftesbury FC's Blair Kitching shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Darren Salt came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Shaftesbury FC reached it. After a rather tough play, F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex's Andy Dryden got a free kick in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shawn Lane in the 80th minute of play forced F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex's goalkeeper Darren Salt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marty Gates in the 86th minute of play forced Shaftesbury FC's goalkeeper Gareth Izzard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Shaftesbury FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Freddy Leyburn hit a great ball. Rick Cooper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Shaftesbury FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while F.C. Slav Dagome Iudex had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
