Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when George Homes made the kick off which started today's match. George Homes took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfred Ingram. Alfred Ingram dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Tony Robins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute, Darren Alcock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thom Payne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Robins in the 16th minute of play. Zane Douglas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thom Payne having to interfere. After 19 played minutes Chilcompton got a freekick which was hit by Reggie Sharples. 20 minutes into the match, Chilcompton's goal looked a bit too open when Ed Watson came free, but Alfred Ingram reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Coombe's Conal Frizzell got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute George Homes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Ingram saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute of the match, Tony Robins tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Thom Payne saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Alfred Ingram showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Homes, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Chilcompton's Alfred Ingram played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricky Fletcher in the 34th minute of play. The Coombe fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Coombe's Ed Watson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Ricky Fletcher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Chilcompton getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Glen Snowden hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tony Robins to strike the kick off in the second half. Tony Robins struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Thom Payne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chilcompton. Alfred Ingram showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Homes in the 56th minute of the match. In the 59th minute George Homes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Ingram saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Coombe's Ricky Fletcher came free and shot a quick shot against goal 60 minutes in the game, fortunately Alfred Ingram had problems saving as it came toward the left post. With his leg Alfred Ingram managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Coombe's Ricky Fletcher fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ricky Fletcher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Alfred Ingram tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Chilcompton's Greg Eastwood got a free kick in the 67th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Chilcompton's goalkeeper Alfred Ingram had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricky Fletcher. George Homes's late challenge caught a Chilcompton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. George Homes helped the player get up and apologised. George Homes kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Ricky Fletcher put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Alfred Ingram. Alfred Ingram was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ed Watson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 81 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zane Douglas in the 84th minute of play forced Coombe's goalkeeper Thom Payne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute Ed Watson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Ingram saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 87 minutes of play, Coombe's Ed Watson made it 1-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfred Ingram was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ricky Fletcher could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Alfred Ingram made a huge save. Chilcompton's Alfred Ingram played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Homes in the 95th minute of play. Coombe's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
