Alfred Ingram made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Dave Starr blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfred Ingram having to make a save. 40 minutes into the match, Chilcompton's goal looked a bit too open when Russell Chiverton came free, but Alfred Ingram reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfred Ingram didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Mean Machine F.C.'s Theo Turk shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dave Starr to strike the kick off in the second half. Alfred Ingram showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roy Morris in the 67th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Tony Robins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the game, Theo Turk recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alfred Ingram. The supporters of Chilcompton booed when Mean Machine F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darryl Dickens didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 73 played minutes, Chilcompton's Don Harrad shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Frank Caine came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chilcompton reached it. Alfred Ingram made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Theo Turk sent off a good shot on target. Darryl Dickens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Alfred Ingram tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Theo Turk took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Alfred Ingram to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Mean Machine F.C.'s Kris Britton got a free kick in the 85th minute. When Alistair Soares fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chilcompton's protests and gave Alistair Soares a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th match minute, Chilcompton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alistair Soares to maneuver through the defense. Alfred Ingram was a little too slow when Darryl Dickens got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 0-8. Alfred Ingram made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Russell Chiverton sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darryl Dickens in the 96th minute of play forced Chilcompton's goalkeeper Alfred Ingram to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roy Morris struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Alfred Ingram didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mean Machine F.C.. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chilcompton's goalkeeper Alfred Ingram, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Chilcompton fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mean Machine F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
