Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Pete Cotterill took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Verwood getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Joey Stockley hit a great ball. 6 minutes into the match, Verwood's goal looked a bit too open when Ricky Fletcher came free, but Sebastian Haxby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastian Haxby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Homes in the 12th minute of the match. Sebastian Haxby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Homes, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, George Homes put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Sebastian Haxby. Pete Cotterill could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Thom Payne made a huge save. With a little luck, Coombe's Thom Payne got control of the ball when Pete Cotterill tried to sneak it across the goal line. Verwood were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Coombe's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Peter Dickner took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Coombe's goalie and right to Anthony Snowden. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Coombe's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. A hard shot 25 in the game by Pete Cotterill from a close distance when the talented Thom Payne managed to make a qualified save. Coombe's players were relieved. Pete Cotterills short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Thom Payne to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anthony Snowden during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Anthony Snowden kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricky Fletcher in the 30th minute of play forced Verwood's goalkeeper Sebastian Haxby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Anthony Snowden was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 35 minutes had been played. The supporters of Coombe booed when Verwood was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Snowden didn't get a good kick on the ball. Charlie Burgess recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastian Haxby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Homes in the 42nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Verwood's zone, George Homes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastian Haxby came out of the goal and George Homes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 52nd minute, Coombe's George Homes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Ricky Fletcher could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Sebastian Haxby made a huge save. Ricky Fletcher struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Sebastian Haxby didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coombe. George Homes might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastian Haxby. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. George Homes ran back to his position shaking his head. Sebastian Haxby made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Ricky Fletcher sent off a good shot on target. Peter Dickner hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Coombe's Dean Gunn got a free kick in the 74th minute. A collision led to Verwood getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Glen Drury hit a great ball. Verwood's Sebastian Haxby proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Verwood from getting a goal against them. Darren Paley kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Verwood's Sebastian Haxby got control of the ball when Ricky Fletcher tried to sneak it across the goal line. Verwood's Joey Stockley suffered a concussion after 88 minutes and had to leave the field. Ed Watson's late challenge caught a Verwood's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ed Watson helped the player get up and apologised. Ed Watson hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Ricky Fletcher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Haxby having to interfere. 0-3 became the score in the 95th minute when George Homes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.
