Coombe's Thom Payne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Croyden in the 4th minute of play. In the 6thth minute of the game George Homes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academy Team's James Hotte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 9th minute, George Homes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of James Hotte. The goal made the score 1-0. Academy Team's goalkeeper couldn't reach when George Homes 15 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Ruben Croyden kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. James Hotte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Homes in the 21st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, George Homes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coombe's supporters rose to their feet, but George Homes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. James Hotte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thom Payne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charlie Hanson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute George Homes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but James Hotte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute, Coombe's George Homes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind James Hotte. James Hotte yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. James Hotte was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ricky Fletcher showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 39 minute of play. James Hotte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Homes in the 43rd minute of the match. George Homes let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 44th minute shot 5-0 at rihgt post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Charlie Hanson was the one to do the kick off. James Hotte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conal Frizzell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charlie Hanson struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Thom Payne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Academy Team. Thom Payne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charlie Hanson, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The supporters of Coombe booed when Academy Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lawrence Burrows didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricky Fletcher in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg James Hotte saved Academy Team from getting behind. Academy Team's James Hotte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricky Fletcher in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Coombe's goalkeeper Thom Payne, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 67 minutes into the match, George Homes notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Academy Team's James Hotte. James Hotte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 74 minutes, Ricky Fletcher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coombe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricky Fletcher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Academy Team booed when Coombe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. George Homes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mark Draper could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Thom Payne made a huge save. In the 81st minute, Darren Paley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Coombe's Thom Payne proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Coombe from getting a goal against them. In the 85th minute Ricky Fletcher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but James Hotte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Academy Team's James Hotte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ed Watson in the 87th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Academy Team's zone, Ricky Fletcher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. James Hotte came out of the goal and Ricky Fletcher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 92 minutes into the match, Ricky Fletcher notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Academy Team's James Hotte. James Hotte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thom Payne acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 98th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Sonny Ferrell. There was no doubt that Coombe were the better team. Coombe's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
