Dave Starr's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luke Newlyn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Roy Morris charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roy Morris the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Roy Morris hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Starr in the 20th minute of play forced FIVE Wizards's goalkeeper Luke Newlyn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Theo Turk got free with Luke Newlyn in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luke Newlyn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Theo Turk went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Olly Weston got a throw-in 30 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Dave Starr. Kris Britton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Luke Newlyn made a huge save. In the 38th minute, Russell Chiverton made a precise shot to the right of Luke Newlyn. FIVE Wizards's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 44th minute Darryl Dickens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luke Newlyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, FIVE Wizards's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Starr came free, but Luke Newlyn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Howard Howard stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luke Newlyn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darryl Dickens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luke Newlyn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theo Turk, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Roy Morris took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luke Newlyn. Luke Newlyn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. A collision led to FIVE Wizards getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Brendon Parks hit a great ball. Luke Newlyn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darryl Dickens, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 65 minutes into the game, Theo Turk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Luke Newlyn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 5-0 became the score in the 69th minute when Theo Turk elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 73 played minutes, FIVE Wizards's Brendon Parks shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Frank Caine came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FIVE Wizards reached it. FIVE Wizards's Luke Newlyn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kris Britton in the 74th minute of play. Luke Newlyn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roy Morris, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. FIVE Wizards's Brendon Parks got his second yellow card of the match in the 78th minute. The referee ordered Brendon Parks off the ground. Luke Newlyn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darryl Dickens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kris Britton scored 6-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luke Newlyn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the FIVE Wizards defense, Theo Turk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luke Newlyn. The FIVE Wizards fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luke Newlyn should have stopped the shot. Luke Newlyn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theo Turk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luke Newlyn came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Mean Machine F.C.'s Russell Chiverton. But to his dismay, Russell Chiverton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0.
