Charlie Hanson started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Academy Team booed when Mean Machine F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy Morris didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th minute of the match Sonny Ferrell shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frank Caine showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 6 minutes, Theo Turk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mean Machine F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Theo Turk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 16th play minutes Theo Turk shot 1-0, a short shot which went by James Hotte and just under the crossbar into goal. Theo Turk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without James Hotte having to interfere. Tristram Pollock's late challenge caught a Mean Machine F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tristram Pollock helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Academy Team's Tristram Pollock got a free kick in the 22nd minute. James Hotte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Morris in the 29th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dave Starr in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg James Hotte saved Academy Team from getting behind. Roy Morris lost his temper 34 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 35th match minute, Mean Machine F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roy Morris to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Academy Team's James Hotte got control of the ball when Darryl Dickens tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruben Croyden during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Academy Team's Ruben Croyden got a free kick in the 40th minute. Theo Turk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without James Hotte having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, Mean Machine F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olly Weston to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Theo Turk to strike the kick off in the second half. Academy Team's James Hotte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darryl Dickens in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Mean Machine F.C.'s Theo Turk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that James Hotte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Mean Machine F.C.'s Frank Caine got control of the ball when Lawrence Burrows tried to sneak it across the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Mean Machine F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lawrence Burrows came free, but Frank Caine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. James Hotte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Theo Turk's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Mean Machine F.C.'s Barrie Dolby sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that James Hotte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Theo Turk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, Academy Team's goal looked a bit too open when Russell Chiverton came free, but James Hotte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lawrence Burrows could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Frank Caine made a huge save. James Hotte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darryl Dickens, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Theo Turk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without James Hotte having to interfere. Academy Team's James Hotte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kris Britton in the 80th minute of play. James Hotte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theo Turk in the 87th minute of the match. In the 88th minute Russell Chiverton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but James Hotte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. James Hotte didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dave Starr went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. James Hotte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theo Turk, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Russell Chiverton scored 5-0 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of James Hotte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
