Glen Snowden's late challenge caught a Academy Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Glen Snowden helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Chilcompton's Glen Snowden got a free kick in the 2nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlie Hanson in the 6th minute of play forced Chilcompton's goalkeeper Alfred Ingram to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfred Ingram showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lawrence Burrows, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. After some careless play in the Academy Team defense, Zane Douglas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of James Hotte. The Academy Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that James Hotte should have stopped the shot. Mark Draper kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. A collision led to Academy Team getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Charlie Hanson hit a great ball. If Zane Douglas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the game, Zane Douglas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. James Hotte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Academy Team getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Charlie Hanson hit a great ball. James Hotte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zane Douglas in the 28th minute of the match. Glen Snowden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. James Hotte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes in the game, Mark Draper fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alfred Ingram having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Academy Team's goal looked a bit too open when Zane Douglas came free, but James Hotte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. James Hotte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tony Robins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zane Douglas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 48th match minute, Academy Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lawrence Burrows to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Charlie Hanson to strike the kick off in the second half. Charlie Hanson kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Tony Robins might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over James Hotte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tony Robins ran back to his position shaking his head. A hard shot 70 in the game by Zane Douglas from a close distance when the talented James Hotte managed to make a qualified save. Academy Team's players were relieved. After 71 minutes, Lawrence Burrows mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academy Team and the Chilcompton players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 71st minute, Lawrence Burrows hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zane Douglas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfred Ingram didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Charlie Hanson went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Alfred Ingram made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Draper in the 80th minute of play. After 82 minutes of play, Academy Team's Charlie Hanson made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfred Ingram was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alfred Ingram made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charlie Hanson in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Glen Snowden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute, Charlie Hanson made a precise shot to the right of Alfred Ingram. Chilcompton's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. The supporters of Academy Team booed when Chilcompton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Don Auckland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfred Ingram stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Charlie Hanson's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. When Academy Team's Charlie Hanson in the 98th minute got a chance for a shot 98th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chilcompton's goalie prevented a goal.
