An unexpectedly hard shot by Dom Bates in the 18th minute of play forced Kimpton's goalkeeper Jeremy Pickard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24thth minute of the game Fitz Greenwood who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kimpton's Jeremy Pickard was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Ealing booed when Kimpton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rupert Beadle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duncan Fleming fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremy Pickard having to interfere. Jeremy Pickard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fitz Greenwood, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. A collision led to Kimpton getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Ashley Anderson hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Fitz Greenwood got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute Fitz Greenwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Pickard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 34 played minutes Ealing got a freekick which was hit by Robin Harland. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dom Bates in the 37th minute of play forced Kimpton's goalkeeper Jeremy Pickard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Kimpton's goal looked a bit too open when Dom Bates came free, but Jeremy Pickard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute of the match, Christiano Barreto got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jeremy Pickard was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bart Quantrill made a kick off. Ash Dlyan might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeremy Pickard. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ash Dlyan ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 56th minute, Dom Bates left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ealing fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 61st minute, Fitz Greenwood ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jeremy Pickard was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. 69 minutes into the match, Fitz Greenwood notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Kimpton's Jeremy Pickard. Jeremy Pickard was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jeremy Pickard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dom Bates in the 73rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Fitz Greenwood's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeremy Pickard was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. After 89 minutes of play, Ealing's Dom Bates made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ealing fully deserved thier win.
