Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Iain Hutchings started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 6th minute, Jake Dowrick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the game, Warren Allott cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Kurt Hargreaves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 13th minute, Dominic Frost made a precise shot to the right of Kurt Hargreaves. Binsted's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Kurt Hargreaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Warren Allott in the 16th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Warren Allott left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Thirsk fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 26th minute Dominic Frost shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kurt Hargreaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Spike Clough's late challenge caught a Binsted's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Spike Clough helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Thirsk's Spike Clough got a free kick in the 28th minute. Kurt Hargreaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Warren Allott in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Spike Clough in the 35th minute of play forced Binsted's goalkeeper Kurt Hargreaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kurt Hargreaves came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Thirsk's Warren Allott. But to his dismay, Warren Allott quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Warren Allott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st match minute, Binsted was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damien Cheswick to maneuver through the defense. Warren Allott took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kurt Hargreaves. Binsted's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Kurt Hargreaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Spike Clough, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Binsted defense, Spike Clough kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kurt Hargreaves. The Binsted fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kurt Hargreaves should have stopped the shot. After the first half Thirsk were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iain Hutchings during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Binsted's Iain Hutchings got a free kick in the 53rd minute. The long shot by Kevin Pell in the 54th minute really tested Kurt Hargreaves's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 55 minutes into the match, Dominic Frost notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Binsted's Kurt Hargreaves. Kurt Hargreaves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kurt Hargreaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Warren Allott, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Kurt Hargreaves made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Spike Clough sent off a good shot on target. In the 65th minute Dom Kirkpatrick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Den Watson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kurt Hargreaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dominic Frost in the 70th minute of play. Binsted's Kurt Hargreaves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Binsted from getting a goal against them. Dominic Frost came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kurt Hargreaves could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dominic Frost got free with Kurt Hargreaves in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Thirsk's Kurt Hargreaves threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Warren Allott, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 84 minutes into the match, Binsted's goal looked a bit too open when Warren Allott came free, but Kurt Hargreaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kurt Hargreaves made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Dominic Frost sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dominic Frost got free with Kurt Hargreaves in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Spike Clough succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-7 in the 89th playminute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Martindale in the 93rd minute of play forced Thirsk's goalkeeper Den Watson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Spike Clough kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 94thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Binsted's keeper Kurt Hargreaves was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. 95 minutes into the match, Binsted's goal looked a bit too open when Dominic Frost came free, but Kurt Hargreaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 97 minutes into the game, Spike Clough recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kurt Hargreaves. Spike Clough showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. When the final whistle sounded Thirsk left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Binsted.
