Den Watson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thirsk's Warren Allott got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Den Watson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dom Bates in the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Fitz Greenwood left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. In the 82nd minute, Fitz Greenwood reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Den Watson. The goal made the score 0-11. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fitz Greenwood in the 92nd minute of play forced Thirsk's goalkeeper Den Watson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
