Spectators: 8065 (Terracing: 6050, Seating: 1855, VIP seats: 160) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sidney Dennison started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Ealing getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. John Ekström hit a great ball. Jack Trotter kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute Fitz Greenwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justin Fry saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Christiano Barreto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Justin Fry was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a rather tough play, Canvey Island's Jack Trotter got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute, Christiano Barreto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christiano Barreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justin Fry having to interfere. Fitz Greenwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Canvey Island's zone, Christiano Barreto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justin Fry came out of the goal and Christiano Barreto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Christiano Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Justin Fry made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fitz Greenwood in the 26th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Canvey Island's Jack Trotter got a free kick in the 27th minute. Ealing's Christiano Barreto managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ivan Hotte in the 28 minute of the game. After 29 played minutes Fitz Greenwood rounded Canvey Island's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. Fitz Greenwood's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Justin Fry skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, Canvey Island's Justin Fry got control of the ball when Christiano Barreto tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Spike Hall could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Barry Edgson made a huge save. In the 56th minute Sidney Dennison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barry Edgson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christiano Barreto in the 59th minute of play forced Canvey Island's goalkeeper Justin Fry to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Spike Hall could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Barry Edgson however easily saved by the left post. In the 65th minute, Fitz Greenwood got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Christiano Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duncan Fleming blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Justin Fry having to make a save. The Ealing fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Ealing's Christiano Barreto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Canvey Island's Justin Fry played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fitz Greenwood in the 76th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Christiano Barreto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Justin Fry was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Fitz Greenwood might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Justin Fry. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fitz Greenwood ran back to his position shaking his head. Justin Fry made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fitz Greenwood in the 86th minute of play. Justin Fry came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Ealing's Fitz Greenwood. But to his dismay, Fitz Greenwood quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Justin Fry stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fitz Greenwood's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ealing had played much better football throughout.
