Barry Edgson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daryl Simms in the 28th minute of the match. Dom Bates hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 32nd match minute, Ealing was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kasper Ekblom to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daryl Simms in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Barry Edgson saved Ealing from getting behind. The supporters of Dover Athletic FC booed when Ealing was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frankie Featherson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Barry Peat came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Dover Athletic FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Barry Peat couldn't finish the play. Dover Athletic FC's Gualberto Velichko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fitz Greenwood in the 45th minute of play.

Gualberto Velichko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fitz Greenwood, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Gualberto Velichko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dom Bates in the 55th minute. Damian Digby hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Gualberto Velichko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ealing. Fitz Greenwood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute.
